Our compact tournament concept will provide an extraordinary experience for everyone. Saudi Arabia is one of the world’s most diverse landscapes with 8 UNESCO World Heritage Sites and giga-projects provide innovative destinations.

Our plans have an innovative robust and state-of-the art stadium strategy that will offer fans attending a world-class match day experience. It includes 15 proposed stadiums across 5 diverse host cities; a combination of 4 existing stadiums, 3 under construction and 8 planned new builds. They are all designed to meet Saudi Arabia’s long-term infrastructure needs. Our 5 host cities will have 2 proposed FIFA Fan Festival™ Sites, while our 10 other host locations are proposed to support team base camps.

WHEN WAS SAUDI ARABIA AWARDED THE FIFA WORLD CUP 2034™?

Saudi Arabia was announced as host nation of the FIFA World Cup 2034™ on December 11th, 2024.

WHAT ARE THE PROPOSED HOST CITIES?

Riyadh, Jeddah, Al Khobar, Abha and NEOM. They will also be supported by other host locations, that will mainly home to Team base camps – AlUla, AlMadinah, Al Baha, Tabuk, Hail, Umluj, Buraidah, Taif, Jazan, Al Ahsa.

HOW MANY STADIUMS ARE PROPOSED?

Our proposed 15 world-class stadiums are across 5 host cities. They include a combination of existing stadiums’ refurbishment (4), new stadiums under construction (3) and planned new builds (8).

WILL THERE BE LOCATIONS FOR FANS TO CELEBRATE OUTSIDE STADIUMS?

Each of the 5 host cities have 2 proposed FIFA Fan Festival™ sites that integrate digital and physical experiences into public celebrations of football where fans will experience Saudi Arabia’s vibrant culture and hospitality. FIFA will make the final decision on 1 FIFA Fan Festival™ site per city.
